NOVEMBER UPDATE | NEW HOMES AT MILLFIELD PARK ESSEX. Due to Covid and Brexit there has been a drastic impact on manufacturers lead times across the whole of the construction industry. Dwindling supplies of key building materials such as timber, roof tiles, cement and steel have impacted the industry all year and prices have soared across several materials. We have waited over 4 Months for our windows which have been now been delivered and are being installed as we speak. Although we have had all these hurdles to get over we are still on programme due to the hard work and efforts of our workforce.
We are busy with second fix carpentry in “Millfield View” (blocks B and C). Mainly laminated floors, doors and skirtings. Kitchens are being installed and templating has began for the Quartz worktops. Bathrooms and En-Suites are tiled and templated with 2nd fix electrical starting this week.
Decorating has started in blocks A,B and C. “Millfield House” and “Millfield View”.
Ground workers have been making excellent progress on the main entrance with parking bays all finished and new surfaces at Millfield Lodge all the way round including Millfield House.
“Millfield House” refurbishment into 10 luxury apartments is looking absolutely amazing. We have bought in master bricklayers to work on the chimneys and detail-work to the house. This is highly skilled work as the house dates back to 1882. We plan to keep this team here until all exterior brickwork is completed.
We are hoping to have our sales team launch Millfield House and Millfield View in Spring 2022.
