Saltcote Maltings 31 new houses in Maldon Essex. Conversion of a 200 year old Salt Malting’s Mill into 14 vertical split townhouses surrounded by 17 detached houses within 2.5 acres. Maldon is a small Essex town of 15,000 people on the  River Chelmer only 10 miles from Chelmsford.

Our aim was to create a desirable, waterside, gated development at the old Salt Maltings Mill. The Mill was converted into townhouses, the existing buildings refurbished and new build homes built all within a 2.5 acre area. The 31 house development is Situated on the Blackwater estuary and Chigborough lakes. With private access to impressive riverside walks to Heybridge Basin and Marina with two pubs overlooking the river. The location for a nice drink, boat enthusiast and dog walker is perfect.

Maldon is famous for The Maldon Mud Race this is an annual fun race held every year at Promenade Park. 300 entrants compete to complete a 500 metre dash, in thick mud, over the bed of the River Blackwater.
